JARED AND THE MILL LIVE @ ADELAIDE HALL

"Jared and The Mill bring a little Arizona heat to T.O."!

On Tuesday night, Folk Indie Rockers from Phoenix, AZ Jared & The Mill, performed at Adelaide Hall in Toronto.
The entrance to the venue is like a speakeasy, down an alleyway and through an unmarked door into the grungy basement of the 4 story event venue. The neon Budweiser sign lighting the room as you walk in and the boys from the band mingling with friends and fans while "Of Gentlemen and Cowards" perform. Having already spent 3 weeks on tour, The Mill are barely at the halfway point but seem to be enjoying every minute of it. You can see their enthusiasm the minute they hit the stage. I kid you not, they gave me chills.

The stage was set up with southwest throws, under the keyboard and over amps with the cutest little light-up cactus. As soon as they started to play I fell in love. Their music is really catchy and has a way of stealing your heart. They’ve got great chemistry on stage and interact a lot with the crowd. The band is more than 3500km (2200mi) away from home but the crowd knew almost every word to their songs and in that moment, I was experiencing something really special. This wasn’t just another show but a moment in music history I’ll be able to look back on. Seriously, they’re not just good, they’re amazing! I wouldn’t be surprised if they start headlining festivals very soon.

They had myself and the audience captivated with every note & word. In the middle of their set, the even jumped down into the crowd for an acoustic performance. If their music isn’t enough to have you hooked they’re a bunch of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Earlier in the day a fan had tweeted she wasn’t able to go since the event was 19+. The band read the tweet and responded to let them know, if this ever happens they’ll do an acoustic set outside the venue before the show. In addition to the performance they hung out with fans until they were kicked out. The band sold their own merch (mostly Larry & Joseph), met and talked to every single fan and signed every item. Even after all that they were still up for an interview, only to leave the next day for their next show in New York. If you ever get a chance to see Jared and The Mill definitely check them and their tunes out! You can see their latest video for the song “Keep Me Going” at www.jaredandthemill.com. Huge shout out to their publicist for the hookup and the bands manager Travis, for doing an awesome job at lighting.
